|1||Diploma in Mental Health Care||2016-11-05 ||rgniyd||The BALM, Chennai and G-SET, Ranchi completed theory and field visits for the students of Diploma in Mental Health Care and the students have also completed mid-tem test and viva voce.
|2||STEPS||2016-11-12 ||RGNIYD ||A three day workshop on Theatre and Folk Arts was organized for the STEPS members at RGNIYD from 12 – 14 November, 2016. 17 students were trained on theatrical skills and traditional folk arts of Tamil Nadu. The objective of the training was to enhance the personality through theatre and empower them for social action by using theatre as a tool.
|3||Convocation of Vocational Skill Development Programme under NULM and Award of Certificate and Learner's Toolkit Distribution of Vocational Skill Development Programme Under MoYAS, GOI||2016-11-22 ||Regional Centre, Chandigarh||RGNIYD Regional Centre, Chandigarh organized the Convocation and Tool Kit Distribution Program for students those who have successfully completed Skill Development Programme under the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana (Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Govt. of India). Under the initiative, more than 500 students belonging to rural and poor households were given training for a period of 6 months. Dr A.K. Dubey, Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India conferred Certificates of completion & Rs 2000 stipend to 214 students. 300 students also received Learners’ Toolkits comprising books, hardware kit & sweatshirts. While addressing the gathering, Dr. Dubey encouraged the students to achieve their goals & complimented RGNIYD for being a pioneer in youth development in the country. He said through these programmes, the government aims to bridge the gap of skilled manpower availability & further the PM’s vision of Skill India. Mr Vivek Trivedi, Social Development Officer, MC Chandigarh also addressed & motivated the students. Mr. Stanzin Dawa, Regional Director, RGNIYD, Chandigarh extended his warm welcome to those present and apprised about the work being done by RGNIYD for empowering the youth of the country. He inspired the youth to contribute in making Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat a success.
|4||Inhouse Paid Computer Training Report||2016-11-01 ||Regional Centre, Chandigarh||Currently, a very small proportion of SC/ST/NE/GENERAL workforce has any formal skill training. Not surprisingly, therefore several sectors of the country’s economy face a shortage of skilled people and are mired with low productivity levels due to poor quality of the workforce. In this context, skill development has become a key priority area for the country. To bridge this digital literacy level for SC/ST/NE/GENERAL youth, programme named - ‘Vocational Skill Development Programme for Schedule caste, Schedule Tribe and Northeast Youth (VSDP)’ was developed to impart skill based computer training for these young people. This project focus on two major skill areas, - Web Designing and Desktop Publishing at the RGNIYD Regional Centre campus and Computer Hardware and Personality Development project runs at the Sarangpur village adopted by Smt. Kirron Kher Hon'ble MP Chandigarh.

The purpose of the event was create awareness about ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. We have efectively mainstreamed on ‘Swachh BharatAbhiyan’ in Regional Centre through awareness and cleaning of the campus and community areas
